Meet Amanda

SAC Certified Counsellor, EFiT practitioner

I am primarily trained in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (SAC certified counsellor). I am trauma-informed as I draw upon other modalities such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to support my therapeutic work.

My predominant framework is based on Attachment and Developmental theories which leverage on helping one gain insights on relationship dynamics within self & others, to inspire change. I aspire to help clients become more mindful of themselves and make new choices that empower them to grow holistically – mentally, emotionallyand relationally.  I believe that everyone is capable of growth and should never stop growing.

When I was in graduate school, I took the courageous step to explore talk therapy and found much liberation. I am equipped to live an honest, genuine and authentic life that makes me a walking testimony of my profession. Come, let us have an authentic conversation.

The Support I Offer

I prefer face to face talk therapy over virtual online meet, though I’m not totally closed off to meeting online. Counselling/Therapy is hard work but it is a worthwhile collaborative process. You are in absolute control, you decide the number of sessions and frequency that fits your needs. I am as helpful in this collaborative process as you are open to explore.

Counselling/Therapy session takes about 55mins for an individual session and about 1hr 25mins for a couple session. There is a surcharge of $20 for sessions that takes place after 7pm on weeknights and Saturdays. Sundays and Public Holidays are my rest days.
